What Is The Selection Procedure Of IBPS Specialist Officer?
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection will be recruiting candidates on the basis of four stages. Prelims exam, Mains exam, Interview and Provisional Allotment are the four stages. Each of the stages should be qualified in order to get selected. Moreover, the department has the right to modify or change the IBPS SO Selection Process 2018. Given below is the detailed selection process stages.
- Preliminary Examination – Stage 1 Of IBPS SO 2018 Selection Process: Eligible candidates will first be called for a Preliminary examination. It will be conducted through online mode. It will have four subjects. Namely, English language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and General Awareness. Scheme of the examination will vary according to the posts.
- Stage 2 – Mains Examination: Candidates who pass the preliminary examination will be called for the mains exam. It will be different according to the posts. Moreover, there will be a Descriptive paper in the mains examination. Candidates will have to clear a Perfect Knowledge test in this stage of the examination.
- Interview – Stage 3 Of Selection Procedure of IBPS SO: Candidates shortlisted in the Mains examination will be called for the Interview. 100 will be the total marks allotted for the Interview. 80:20 is the ratio for Online Mains exam and the Interview. The minimum qualifying marks for the Interview stage will be 35% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD candidates and 40% for all others. It will be conducted by the Participating organizations and coordinated by the Nodal Banks in each State or UT. However, the conducting agencies have the right to change the venue, date, time, etc. of the Interview. Candidates will have to qualify in the Mains exam, Interview stage and must be in the merit list as per the IBPS SO Selection Process 2018.
- Stage 4 – Provisional Allotment: After the Interview, candidates will be provisionally allotted vacancy in one of the participating organization. It will be done keeping in mind the number of vacancies and the business needs of the banks. The vacancies stated in the official advertisement are indicative. The decision of IBPS about Provisional Allotment is final.
